With each set, you receive both front and rear inner shifter cables and 1 extra long 2500mm gear cable housing for your front and rear gears as well as clips, ferrules, and cable end crimps.
Alike your brakes, your gears need to be responsive and instant. To achieve the most responsive gear shifting Corki Cycles used 1.1mm stainless steel PVC-coated inner cables. This makes the shifting extra smooth with a rapid increase or decrease in gear. The front and rear cable and cable housing are also extra long to fit all bikes, including full-suspension mountain and road bikes.

The front inner cable is 2100mm / 82.7 inches long, the rear gear cable is 2100mm / 82.7 inches long and the cable housing is 2500mm / 98.4 inches long. The cable housing is 4mm in diameter. The cable housing internally has an inner layer for a better gear cable fit. The total shifter cable housing set weighs 121 grams / 4.26 oz.

To install the new gear cable and housing you will need to pull out the old inner gear cable and remove the housing. Take the old cable housing measure against the new housing to see if length adjustments are needed. After ensuring the correct length attach the gear cable housing to your frame.
Next, attach the gear cable to your shifter and derailleur, threading through the gear cable. Secure the gear cable tightly with an Allen key on the derailleur. Adjust the gear cable tightening or loosening based on feedback from shifting the gear. Once the gears are set up perfectly attach the gear nipple and pinch with pliers. This prevents the gear cable from fraying at the end. Replicate again for your front or rear derailleur.
